OOTD // DIY Tee

Hey guys,

As you read this, I am packing my bags! I am off to a tropical destination in few days and I couldn't be more excited about it (you will see soon enough on my Instagram stories)!! I can't wait to get away from the cold for a week, even though it has been pretty nice these days. This nice weather had got me REALLY excited about layered looks that don't involve a huge coat to prevent frost bite! So, I took advantage of it to take a few OOTD shots. This particular outfit I am very excited to share with you because I made the tee myself, with a $5.00 tee from Walmart.

THE COMPLETE LOOK

Tee // DIY (see below)

Jacket // Flee market in Madrid, Spain

Jeans // Garage Clothing

Booties // Call It Spring

Sunnies // Urban Outfitters

Necklace // Aldo Accessories

I really love this jacket because it brings back so many great memories of my time in Spain and it is perfect for this kind of weather. I love how it looks over the shoulders like this! Also, rather than let my oversize tee fall loose, I brought it up in a knot to create a more put together look. I added these gorgeous UO sunglasses to add a little bit of texture to the outfit, since it is the only pattern you can see. I really enjoy neutral colours and wearing jeans so I could definitely wear this outfit every day!

THE DIY TEE

All you need is an oversized tee from any clothing store. I personally like to get mine at Walmart because they are super cheap ($5.00).

I then proceeded to draw up the outline of a "V" shape. Start it several inches below the collar (the exact distance depends on how plunging you want it to be). Then draw all the way up to the top, forming a somewhat rounded V shape, but making sure you leave a space between the collar and the edge of your cutout so it gives a 'floating' look like this one. What is really like about this cutout shape is that it gives the appearance as though you were wearing a choker too.

These type of cutout tees are really in right now, so this DIY is the ideal way to stay stylist on a budget. That leaves more money for accessories ;) I personally like to style this kind of cutout tee with a lace bralette to add a little extra somethin' somethin' ;) I also paired this one with my new necklace from ALDO, which I am slightly obsessed with at the moment!

XOXX
