Dealing with a cold

Hey guys,

Winter has been especially rough this year, flu season has been going on for weeks and I have had a mini-cold for five weeks already!! At this point in time, I don't quite remember what it feels like to breathe normally. Honestly, it hasn't been the best start to the year haha. So given these past weeks have been pretty rough, I thought I would talk to you about how I deal with all of it :)

LUSH TIME

The most important thing to me when I'm sick is "me time", so this past weekend I went on a LUSH rampage and took a much anticipated bath featuring the classic bath bomb with a side of Netflix-on-the-iPad. I've tried multiple different LUSH products and I am obsessed with all of them! Bath bombs are my obvious FAVES but I also love the shower jellies, I love them way more than regular soaps! The lip scrubs are great too (and taste amazing) and my then I also tried a bubble bar. All in all, I have never been disappointed by a LUSH product: they smell great, are pretty darn gorgeous and leave you feeling amazing.

TEA TIME (or coffee if you insist)

I have always been a tea drinker as many of you already know, so I never miss an occasion for a good old cup of tea. Plus, it's a great way to feel better when you have a cold AND it's freezing outside. Any tea is good, but if you have a cold, try to avoid adding sugar in there. It's not like you can taste anything with that cold anyway ;)

EATING CLEAN

This one is pretty obvious, but is sometimes hard to keep up with. Eating clean often requires a lot of planning and effort (for some, including me), but given the season has been particularly rough, I'm making an extra effort to eat more greens, only water with meals and more balanced meals altogether.

GET SOME REST

This is the one everyone wishes they had time for. I get it, it's hard to get long nights in when you are a student and have a job and there are exams and so on, but honestly you will feel SO much better if you get a good night's sleep. Every time I feel like this and I have a lot of school work I say to myself: "Honestly Sarah what is more important? 5% more on your exam or your health?" And to top it all off, you are obviously less productive if you are tired so do yourself a favour and GO TO BED :)

POSITIVE ATTITUDE

In the end though, what I find really keeps me going is the hope that it will all be over soon. I mean winter can't possibly last forever right? Or can it...

P.S. How do you guys deal with a cold?? I wanna know below :)

XOXX
