Feeling (not) blue in Morocco

Hey guys,

It's been a while, but I'm finally back and I've got lots to share!

For the past two weeks, I've been studying hard for finals and therefore thought it best to focus more time on my studies and take a short break from the articles for a little bit and for that, I'm sorry. I promise that from now on there will be articles every week :)

BUT, that means I'm finally done school. More time to travel ;)

A (short) while ago, I got to visit Morocco for the first time. For the past few years, I've wanted to go to Morocco but didn't think that I would have the opportunity to do so this semester. First for lack of time and second because it is not a country one can go alone to or with another girlfriend. I had planned to visit Grenada with the Aussies that weekend, but changed my mind two weeks before when I found out about this organized trip to Morocco through a company called Smart Insiders. They organize a lot of great, reasonably priced trips perfect for students in the Madrid area.

The trip included a lot of time on a bus, a few hours on ferry rides but it was worth it. We spent the first and second day in Tangier, where we had walking tours and free time to explore the city and spent the third day in Chefchaouen, the blue city. I'm not gonna lie, Chefchaouen is GORGEOUS. The whole day I felt like I was walking through a dream. You can probably get an idea from the pictures below!

TANGIER

A little bit of fresh bread never hurt nobody.

I got hennas and couldn't be happier.

CHEFCHAOUEN

So here's the deal: they paint the city blue only 3 times a year and it fell on the day we were in town... and they let me paint it!!

Dreaming about all the beautiful blue walls, or something like that.

See you later alligators!

XOXX
