The 5 summer trends you need to try

Hey guys,

I don't know about you, but I am SO ready for summer! Summers in Montreal are hella festive. Countless free festivals, Osheaga, Ile Soniq, food trucks, amazing weather and of course, an occasion to spice up your wardrobe. Every season has it's new trends, so let's cover the 5 hottest trends you need to try this season:

1. Lots of patterns! Florals, tropical and fruits!!

Patterns are in. If you aren't used to wearing such bold pieces, an easy way to transition is to dress them down with a simple blue jean and sneakers. If you dare, opt for a full pattern look like the ones below. Either way, you'll slay!

2. Literally the most summer colours yet: yellow, orange, pink and red.

It's the time to be bold. Out with the LBD and in with the red hot dress. Summer is so short, so enjoy it and don't be afraid to stand out in a bright colour!

3. Silk and satin are the new cotton

We've been seeing satin skirts on our favourite style icons for about a year now, but I'm telling you, this summer is the season for satin skirts. And now we've ventured into satin tops and even, if you dare, satin sets. It's elegant and will instantly make you look like a million bucks without spending a million bucks. Pair your satin skirt with a classic white tee and some sneakers to dress it down or wear it as a set with some heels and leave em speechless.

4. Jumpsuits and summer dresses

Jumpsuits are perfect for those breezy summer days. They are so comfy, but look dressed up. So they are perfect for an evening dinner or event. And of course, the summer dress never goes out of style. Season after season, a cute little dress will always do the trick.

5. Straw bags

The perfect accessory for summer. You can bring them to the beach, lunch on a terrace, or even a night out. It'll instantly make any outfit feel more summery.
