Good Times in New York City

Hey Upper East Siders,

You can take the girl out of NY but you can't take NY out of the girl ;) I'm back from New York City, and, as promised, I've got a post about it for you! I spent four days in the city. Although this was my fourth time visiting the big apple, I always find something to do.

Our hotel, The Gallivant, was right by Times Square, awesome location in the city! On Sunday night, Alicia Keys announced a surprise concert and I took some time out of my study session to head out and see the show, which was amazing by the way! Let's see what happened the rest of the weekend...

FRIDAY

Friday was my birthday and I only had one request. MILKSHAKES. Somehow, this trip became somewhat of a foodie getaway (surprise surprise). The milkshake spot was in Soho, my favourite place to shop, so we did a little shopping and later made a quick stop at Shake Shack.

SATURDAY

Saturday was a cold, rainy day, but when has that ever stopped me? A little stroll through Central Park makes it alllllll better! We also made our way to Lincoln Square during the short time of sunshine. Central Park and Lincoln Square are the two most perfect places to hang out and read a book on a beautiful day! We ended our day with a Broadway show, Something Rotten! and it was great!

SUNDAY

Sunday we took a tour of the NBC Studios, went to see the Public Library and of course, made it up to the Upper East Side for some macaroons from Ladurée.

MONDAY

Finally, Monday we visited my mom's cousin just outside of NYC and walked by some last spots in the city before coming back home. I loved reconnecting her, she is so sweet! Can't wait to hang out again :)
